6. Linked Runs / Multi-Cub Runs
-
Maximum of 3 Cubs per Bear in a single run
-
Run stops must be identical for all Cubs (i.e., no separate stops for some Cubs & not others)
-
Primary parent submits & confirms run request and is responsible for total run payment on behalf of the group
-
Each Cub family involved must set up a ShuttleCub account profile, not just the Primary parent
-
Each Cub family involved will receive real-time notifications & updates during the run
-
Because each additional child adds complexity, heightens vigilance, coordination, and responsibility required, pricing for a Multi-Household/Multi-Cub Run is as follows:
-
2 Cubs: 1.25x standard base run rate
-
3 Cubs: 1.5x standard base run rate
-
7. Cross-Borough Runs
-
To ensure reliability and fairness for our Bears, ShuttleCub applies a cross-borough surcharge for runs that take us outside of Manhattan. This surcharge reflects the additional travel time required for our Bears to reach or return from pickup and drop-off locations in other boroughs.
-
Our pricing is structured in tiers based on commute time back to Midtown Manhattan:
-
Tier 1 – $10 surcharge
Commute time: under 30 minutes. Typically, direct express service and/or close to major transit hubs.
Examples: Downtown Brooklyn, Long Island City -
Tier 2 – $20 surcharge
Commute time: 30–45 minutes. Areas with strong subway coverage but longer or transfer-based commutes.
Examples: Prospect Heights, Jackson Heights -
Tier 3 – $30 surcharge
Commute time: more than 45 minutes. Areas with longer or more indirect commutes, limited subway access, or reliance on bus/ferry service.
Examples: Bay Ridge, Randall’s Island
-
-
We’ve created this tiered system to be as transparent and objective as possible; however, final cross-borough surcharge decisions remain at ShuttleCub’s discretion
8. Promotions
-
Promo codes cannot be combined or stacked—only one code may be applied per transaction
-
Referral or other credits can be combined with promo codes
9. Payments
-
Invoicing. All parents will be invoiced upfront based on estimated run costs; a 70% deposit must be received before (a) one-time run date, (b) first run in recurring run series.
-
Any necessary adjustments based on actuals (refunds / additional charges) will be made post-run, or in the next month’s invoice for Subscription families.
-
Final invoices are issued 6-24 hours post-run and sent to parents; Balance payments are required upon receipt of invoice
-
-
Receipt Upload. Bears must upload receipts at most 6 hours post run, otherwise they forfeit their right to reimbursement
-
Disputes. Parents/Bears have 3 business days post-run to file a dispute, otherwise run is considered completed & closed
10. Notification timing for “Unmatched Runs”
-
Normal Runs. Parents will be notified at least 2 days before scheduled run date if we are unable to fulfil their run
-
Last Minute Runs. Parents will be notified at least 4 hours before scheduled run start time if we are unable to fulfil their run
