Meet Our Bears
Bear Spotlight - Meet Natalie
Tell us a little about your background—where did you grow up?
I grew up in Chester, NJ in a really small town with no public transit and moved to New York City for college in 2017. My undergraduate degree is in Anthropology, which I always joke means I find people fascinating and love learning about them. I am the youngest of 4 siblings and I have 10 nieces and nephews ranging in age from 5 years my senior to 6 months old (I am proudly a fun aunt). Professionally, my background is in events and I’ve worked at non-profits as well as a law firm catering to a variety of personalities and event needs. Currently, I also work as a shipping manager for a tea maker in Brooklyn.
What inspired you to join the ShuttleCub family?
A desire to work in ways that help me better support my community! Also, the transition from my small town to the big city when I moved to NYC for college was sharp and a huge point of comfort and pride for me became navigating the public transit system. I want to share all my knowledge and confidence with Cubs and their families!
What kind of energy do you bring to ShuttleCub as a Bear?
I bring patience, flexibility, and creativity as a Bear! I’m willing and able to meet each Cub where they are.
What do you love most about being a Bear?
Helping Cubs and their families feel safe and confident navigating the city!
Fun fact time! What’s something unique about you?
I recently reupholstered and repaired a set of dining chairs for my kitchen that I got at an estate sale!
When I am not shuttling Cubs, I am probably…. Walking my dog, Barbara, cooking or baking new allergy friendly recipes, completing my latest craft or project at home, or dancing.
Fun‑aunt energy meets NYC transit mastery, the Cubs won’t know how lucky they are!
