Bear Spotlight - Meet Shirley
Tell us a little about your background—where did you grow up?
I grew up in Georgia and have lived in big cities around the world since the age of 17. Many years navigating city streets and busy schedules, including more than 15 years in NYC!
What inspired you to join the ShuttleCub family?
I enjoy being an auntie to many of my cousins’ and friends’ kids and am happy to be part of the “village” to help kids thrive.
What kind of energy do you bring to ShuttleCub as a Bear?
I bring “fun aunt” energy as a Bear and love learning about what kids are into these days.
What do you love most about being a Bear?
Having the opportunity to help families and kids in NYC while putting my organizational strengths and sense of responsibility to great use outside of an office.
Fun fact time! What’s something unique about you?
I have run several marathons (including NYC twice) and am never afraid to pound the pavement!
When I am not shuttling Cubs, I am probably…. Watching sports, seeking out good food, hanging out with my 15-year old shiba inu Mochi, or all of the above.
She’s outrun half the city already, so keeping up with fast walking Cubs is Shirley's version of rest day!
