What to Expect on a Run

A Warm Start.

Your Bear begins each run by helping your child feel comfortable — a quick hello, a check‑in, and a moment to make sure they’re ready for the run.

Steady, Child‑Centered Support.

Throughout the journey, Bears move at your child’s pace, while keeping an eye on the clock to ensure they get where they need to be punctually. Bears handle the logistics so your child can simply walk, ride, or travel with confidence.

Calm, Attentive Presence.

Bears stay fully present — noticing when your child needs a pause, encouragement, or a bit of conversation to ease the transition.

Clear, Reassuring Communication.

You’ll always know how the run is going, but your child will also feel supported by someone who communicates clearly and kindly.

A Smooth Finish.

At drop‑off, and before they leave, Bears make sure your child is settled, safe, and ready for what comes next — whether that’s school, an activity, or home.

Preparing Your Child

A few small steps can make a big difference:

Let your child know who their Bear will be and where they’ll meet (we provide a photo of the Bear and a codeword before a run if the Bear and Cub have never met)
Pack anything they’ll need for the destination (snacks, gear, homework, etc.)
Encourage them to speak up if they need a pause, or help with anything. Remind your child that their Bear can always call you, if they want to speak with you during the run.
Remind them that their Bear is there to support them the whole way

For first‑time Cubs, a quick conversation about what to expect can help them feel confident and excited.

Communication

We keep communication simple, clear, and consistent:

You’ll receive a message, and photo if you choose, when the Bear meets your child
You’ll get updates during the journey
You can follow the run live with the real-time GPS tracker
You’ll receive a final confirmation, and photo if you choose, when your child arrives safely at their destination
If anything unexpected comes up, we’ll reach out immediately

Perks for Parents

Family Loyalty

All ShuttleCub families are automatically enrolled in our Loyalty Milestone & Referral Program.

We track your completed runs each quarter, and you’ll receive a thank‑you credit based on the milestone you reach. Referrals count too — if you refer a new family and they complete their first run, you’ll both receive a credit. No sign‑up needed. Just share the name of the family you referred, or have them enter your name during account setup.
