Bear Spotlight - Meet Noelani

Tell us a little about your background—where did you grow up?

I’m from the island of Maui originally, and I moved to California for my university education. After I graduated, I started working in various dance studios and theaters teaching and choreographing for ages 3-18. About seven years ago I moved to NYC, and I’ve been loving it ever since!

What inspired you to join the ShuttleCub family?

I’ve always worked with children in some capacity, so this seemed like a natural choice! I know my parents definitely could’ve benefited from ShuttleCub when I was growing up with all my extra curricular activities- I hope this program will put parents and kids alike at ease when it comes to scheduling and getting one place to the next!

What kind of energy do you bring to ShuttleCub as a Bear? 

I aim to bring a reassuring and energetic vibe to all my runs!

What do you love most about being a Bear?

I enjoy being able to help out families. I know that when I was a child, if I couldn’t find a ride to a certain class, I wasn’t allowed to go, so I love the idea that we’re enabling children to attend all the classes and events they want!

Fun fact time! What’s something unique about you?

I can do a pretty darn solid Stitch impression.

 

          That’s pretty cool Noelani, but how about Winnie-the-Pooh,                      Paddington or Baloo?!  Remember, Bears rule!

At ShuttleCub, our Bear Runners are more than just transportation providers—they are passionate individuals dedicated to our mission of offering safe, reliable, and caring transportation for children. Focused on supporting the needs of busy Manhattan parents, they bring peace of mind to every family they serve.

  • Live in New York City or immediate vicinity

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Extensive knowledge of navigating  and getting around New York City

  • Pass a comprehensive background check

  • Pass an interview and complete the onboarding process

  • Complete trial shuttle run tests proving timeliness, reliability and a strong sense of care and responsibility 

  • Maintain stellar ShuttleCub Run statistics, including punctuality and parent reviews (e.g., communication, safety)
