Bear Spotlight - Meet Dylan

Tell us a little about your background—where did you grow up?

I grew up on 62nd and West End, and spent my childhood commuting around the city. I moved to Fort Lee New Jersey when I was 13, and began commuting into the city from there. I know the trains, busses, and bike paths in the city like the back of my hand!

What inspired you to join the ShuttleCub family?

I love working with kids, and know that I can connect with them on a fundamental level. Additionally, I remember how scary commuting alone when you’re that young is, and know that I can be someone that can ease that angst.

​

What kind of energy do you bring to ShuttleCub as a Bear? 

I offer a jovial energy that makes sure any cub is having fun while engaging in the mundane act of commuting, while also empowering them to make decisions and feel confident traveling in the city.

​

What do you love most about being a Bear?

I love seeing a snippet into many different kid’s lives, learning about them and finding ways to connect.

​​​Fun fact time! What’s something unique about you?

My stepdad is Looney Lenny the Clown! NYC’s favorite children’s

entertainer clown for more than 30 years.

 

 When I am not shuttling Cubs, I am probably….Playing board games, painting miniatures, balancing things on one finger

          His step‑dad is Looney the Clown. So if Dylan says he can juggle, he means         

          business!

Ready to Be A Bear?

At ShuttleCub, our Bear Runners are more than just transportation providers—they are passionate individuals dedicated to our mission of offering safe, reliable, and caring transportation for children. Focused on supporting the needs of busy Manhattan parents, they bring peace of mind to every family they serve.

  • Live in New York City or immediate vicinity

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Extensive knowledge of navigating  and getting around New York City

  • Pass a comprehensive background check

  • Provide at least 2 written references

  • Pass an interview and complete the onboarding process

  • Complete trial shuttle run tests proving timeliness, reliability and a strong sense of care and responsibility 

  • Maintain stellar ShuttleCub Run statistics, including punctuality and parent reviews (e.g., communication, safety)
